Across platforms

  • BB28ファイナル3(Taylor・Drew・Devens) — X(#bb28クラスター)、YouTube(RHAPのライブフィード解説、3.2万回再生)、Bluesky(#BB28実況勢の投稿群)の3プラットフォームで同時進行中。
  • スペインvsクロアチア(ラミン・ヤマル2ゴール1アシスト) — X(Explore経由で複数投稿がヒット、例: @wohwki)とYouTube(Footballiaのハイライト、6.4万再生)で重複確認。
  • テイラー・スウィフト関連(VMAs) — X(@PopBaseの写真投稿、6.4万いいねで今回集めた中の最大ヒット)とYouTube(MTV公式のArtist Director Honors映像、42.5万再生)の両方でトップクラスの数字。
  • 「動画→現実の結果(解雇・逮捕・炎上)」パターン — Reddit(インドのハラスメント動画が警察の逮捕劇に発展、870〜1000pt超)とLemmy(KPMGの女性がBill Ackman氏の拡散で解雇、"Lake America"パーカー騒動でCEO解雇)で共通して見られ、純粋なエンタメより「動画が現実を動かした」系のほうが反応が強い傾向。

Platform by platform

What to watch

  • Bihar発ハラスメント動画の裁判の行方 — Reddit(r/Indianlaw、r/IndiaTodayLIVE)で警察対応が進行中、続報が出る可能性。

Recommendations

Data quality

The searches for "went viral," "viral video," and "viral clip" pulled in mostly regional/niche India-focused subs (r/TeenHerIndia, r/Indianlaw, r/youtubeindia, r/GenZpk, r/IndiaTodayLIVE, r/splitsvillaMTV) plus a couple of large general subs (r/popculturechat, r/youtube, r/AliensRHere). Curiously, the Japanese search terms "バズってる動画" and "話題の動画" did not surface any Japanese-language threads at all — they matched English-language threads (#4, #9, #5, #10) that happen to use the word "video," not anything actually trending in a Japanese context.

What people say
  • #12 (r/AliensRHere, 478 pts, 88 comments, 2026-09-25) — link: a video of an "unknown object in the sky" over China is going viral specifically because people are running it through AI-detection tools and getting ambiguous results. Top comment dismisses it outright: u/Poizinnous (36 pts): "Stratospheric Airship. Next." But u/yn3kk (5 pts) pokes at the framing itself: "1% of being NOT AI means 99% of being AI. Which is it?"
  • #2 (r/TeenHerIndia, 186 pts, 60 comments, 2026-09-28) — link: a clip of a woman retaliating against a man on a Kolkata local train is the most warmly-received video in the set — comments are celebratory rather than divided. u/mehu_akshit (14 pts): "badhiya camera position badhiya cinematography... 9.5/10, thodi si aur pitai honi chahiye thi" (basically: great filming, 9.5/10, wish there'd been more of a beating).
  • #1 (r/CFB_v2, 140 pts, 124 comments, 2026-09-27) — link: a college-football fan's video going viral led to her real identity/Instagram being exposed within the same news cycle — the virality itself became the story, not the original clip. u/FangornLeghorn (19 pts) is skeptical it was organic: "She was 100% angling for exactly this."
  • #7 (r/IndiaTodayLIVE, 1,011 pts, 35 comments, 2026-09-25) and #3 (r/Indianlaw, 863 pts, 131 comments, 2026-09-24) — two separate viral assault videos out of Bihar, both surfaced through social media before police action ("Police received the video through their social media cell on September 22"). These are the two highest-scoring threads in the whole set, showing the "viral video triggers real-world legal action" pattern draws heavy engagement. Commenters split between outrage at the men involved and outrage at the coverage itself: u/roberttttooooooooo (4 pts) on #7: "why tf do they always blurr the face of the criminals... Only blurr the face of the victim."
  • #8 (r/splitsvillaMTV, 157 pts, 27 comments, 2026-09-29) — link: a reality-TV clip goes viral for being cringeworthy rather than impressive — u/gnarlyyy_katseye (12 pts) sums it up in two words: "PAINFULLY CRINGE."
  • #4 (r/youtubeindia, 63 pts, 27 comments, 2026-09-27) — link: not about a single viral video but about a creator's declining virality — commenters attribute it to legal/agency oversight over spontaneity: u/forgotten_warrior5 (4 pts): "he become very careful on what he says... too much restrictions is what we're seeing now."
  • #10 (r/popculturechat, 577 pts, 33 comments, 2026-09-23) — link: Robert Pattinson naming his favorite YouTube videos (Potter Puppet Pals, Charlie the Unicorn) during press for "Primetime" went viral by nostalgia — u/Few_Pizza3674 (229 pts, the single highest-scored comment in the dataset): "potter puppet pals just sent me into a time warp."
  • #11 (r/cdramasfans, 317 pts, 104 comments, 2026-09-23) — link: not a single video but a trailer-driven controversy — iQIYI trailers trending on Weibo for "excessive kissing," with the sub debating whether steamy scenes are now a genre-wide viral bait tactic. u/Weak-War-5289 (9 pts): "it's the c drama trend, if one drama releases and turns out as hit, boom 5 to 6 drama lineups on same topic are ready."
  • #9 (r/youtube, 26 pts, 7 comments, 2026-09-26) — link: not about a viral video at all, but a platform bug — Shorts load fine while long-form video cards go missing on the homepage, suggesting a client-side grid-view bug (u/We_Ride_Together, 1 pt, offers the technical theory).
  • #6 (r/DrillandBop, 28 pts, 9 comments, 2026-09-29) — link: smallest and thinnest thread in the set — a rapper (@reallyrichdon4k) "went viral shooting fully" (i.e., a video of him smoking), but the comments barely engage with the "viral" framing at all and drift into unrelated commentary about cigarette brands.
Signals
  • Rising: videos that trigger a real-world consequence — legal action (#3, #7), a person's identity being exposed (#1) — are pulling the highest scores and comment counts in this set, well above pure-entertainment clips.
  • Dismissed: the "mystery object" UFO video (#12) is being actively debunked by its own top comment rather than believed; skepticism about AI-generated fakery is now a reflex response to any ambiguous viral clip.
  • Disagreement: #7 and #3 show the same underlying pattern (Bihar harassment videos going viral and prompting arrests) but the comment sections disagree sharply on where blame belongs — some blame the perpetrators and the culture, others (e.g., u/Far-Elevator-4508 on #3: "no one is being SA, its just their culture") minimize it outright, and on #7 there's a side-argument specifically about editorial choices (face-blurring) rather than the video's content.
  • Surprising: two of the twelve threads aren't about a viral video at all — they're about the platform (#9, a YouTube homepage bug) or about virality as a career strategy (#1, #4) — suggesting that on Reddit right now, meta-commentary on how virality works is nearly as common as reactions to the clips themselves.
  • Cross-cutting theme: the "went viral" search term surfaced more thread diversity (sports, music, alien sightings) than "viral video"/"viral clip," which skewed toward India-focused assault/harassment footage — the phrasing of a search term meaningfully shapes which corner of Reddit shows up.
Limits
  • The brief asks for videos that went viral in the last 24–48 hours (relative to 2026-09-30). Only 3 of the 12 collected threads fall inside that window (#2 on 09-28, #6 and #8 on 09-29); the rest range from 09-23 to 09-27, up to a full week old. This set skews older than the brief wants.
  • The Japanese search terms "バズってる動画" and "話題の動画" returned zero actually-Japanese-language threads — they matched English threads incidentally. Reddit does not appear to have a meaningful Japanese-language viral-video conversation surfaced by this search approach, or the search terms didn't reach it.
  • No thread in the set is a "found by search but empty" case — all 5 search terms returned at least one thread — but no search term returned anything close to 10 threads, so this file falls well short of "10 videos with numbers" the way the brief's completion criteria frames it for other platforms. That completion criteria (10 videos/links/numbers per platform) doesn't map cleanly onto what Reddit gives you: most of these threads are discussions about a video (often without a direct playable link, view count, or like count for the video itself — only the Reddit post's score and comment count are available), not a catalog of individually-numbered viral videos.
  • Per the playbook, this file only reflects what the worker already collected — no live Reddit browsing was performed, so no additional threads, comment counts, or newer results beyond reddit.threads.md/.json could be checked or added.

X — Daily Viral Video

Where this list comes from

The worker followed X's own Explore page and then searched 10 of Explore's trending terms ("Italy", "Spain", "Holy", "#bb28", "Roman", "Tayflop", "Elon", "Anthropic", "#Croatia", "Lando"), collecting 40 posts from 37 accounts. Explore itself is geolocated to wherever this session reaches X from: 4 of the 10 trends are explicitly labeled "Trending in Croatia" (Holy, Tayflop, Elon, Anthropic), the rest are labeled by category only (Sports, Business & finance, Motorsport) with no place named. So this is a Croatia-flavored slice of X, not a global one, and "Posts on X" counts were not available for any trend (X returned no count — shown as — in the source table).

Accounts

Almost every account here posted once — this list is driven by isolated posts going wide, not by a small set of creators dominating the conversation:

Account Posts Likes across them What they post
@PopBase 1 64,557 Pop-culture news account; single photo of Taylor Swift at the VMAs is the biggest post in the whole set by a wide margin
@reigns_era 2 5,738 Fan account posting live reactions to WWE Raw
@thelegoagapov 1 4,189 Solo indie game developer (Roman Agapov) announcing a game update — swept in only because "Roman" is his first name, unrelated to the wrestling cluster
@ChGefaell 1 4,837 Posts Elon Musk quotes/clips
@Rivonn 1 4,894 AI/tech account, posted about an uncensored fine-tuned video model
@lnfourss 2 1,314 F1 fan account, both posts about Lando Norris's Singapore-weekend disappearance
@outztheslammer 2 231 Small K-pop/Taylor Swift fan account pushing the "Tayflop" narrative
Everyone else (30 accounts) 1 varies (0–1,652) One-off posts, no repeat presence in this set
Posts
  1. #24 @PopBase — 64,557 likes · 7,718 reposts · 398 replies · ~2,100,000 views · 2026-09-27 — https://x.com/PopBase/status/2104355612914315325 — "Taylor Swift photographed by Pop Base at the 2026 #VMAs." By far the largest post collected; a single red-carpet photo, not a video, but it anchors the "Tayflop" trend below.

  2. #12 @Rivonn — 4,894 likes · 294 reposts · 49 replies · ~563,000 views · 2026-09-28 — https://x.com/Rivonn/status/2104443837099725024 — "Holy sht, this is fcking insaneee someone fine-tuned wan 2.1 into a FREEEE uncensored model that renders adult videos on your own pc." Surfaced by the generic "Holy" trend, not an actual "Holy"-topic post — shows how loosely that trend term catches unrelated virality.

  3. #27 @ChGefaell — 4,837 likes · 1,184 reposts · 54 replies · ~231,000 views · 2026-09-29 — https://x.com/ChGefaell/status/2104827976978211070 — Elon Musk quote telling 20-year-olds to "get the broadest education possible... AI and robots will perform almost any job immediately." Highest repost-to-like ratio of the big posts (1,184 reposts on 4,837 likes), meaning it spread more than it was liked — a quote-tweet/commentary magnet.

  4. #19 @reigns_era — 4,724 likes · 283 reposts · 40 replies · ~83,000 views · 2026-09-29 — https://x.com/reigns_era/status/2104730046069870747 — "Roxanne lost. Her chances of winning THE MITB have increased #WWERaw." Live-tweet reaction to that night's WWE Raw, the account's second post in the set.

  5. #11 @ryulzstyle — 3,727 likes · 799 reposts · 3 replies · ~19,000 views · 2026-09-28 — https://x.com/ryulzstyle/status/2104576619281256918 — "holy shit it's like seeing pre debut ryul again." Almost no replies but a huge repost count relative to likes — a k-pop nostalgia clip passed around more than discussed.

  6. #29 @zephyr_z9 — 1,479 likes · 36 reposts · 30 replies · ~114,000 views · 2026-09-28 — https://x.com/zephyr_z9/status/2104717396900745337 — "Are they planning to price out everyone from the market" (re: Anthropic). Highest reply count relative to likes in the Anthropic cluster — a complaint that pulled argument, not just agreement.

  7. #8 @wohwki — 1,595 likes · 171 reposts · 4 replies · ~11,000 views · 2026-09-29 — https://x.com/wohwki/status/2105027145231962497 — "PEDRI ASSIST LAMINE GOAL." One of several near-identical live reactions to the Spain–Croatia Nations League match (see also #7, #33–36).

  8. #39 @oIliebearman — 1,181 likes · 171 reposts · 7 replies · ~10,000 views · 2026-09-28 — https://x.com/oIliebearman/status/2104490033847918944 — "oh man, pretty little Lando got bulldozed by big giant Oscar." Part of a small cluster (#37–40, 3 different accounts) about Lando Norris apparently going missing from a race weekend while Oscar Piastri took his spot — the account name behind "Lando" trending in Croatia.

  9. #14 @syphafan — 1,348 likes · 67 reposts · 1 reply · ~24,000 views · 2026-09-28 — https://x.com/syphafan/status/2104415158374420860 — "the head turn…. he can't believe how unclassy these yt ppl get #bb28." One of four posts (#13–16) about Big Brother contestant Taylor Brown's treatment on the show — replies are thin across the whole cluster, engagement is almost entirely likes/reposts.

  10. #28 @alifarhat79 — 444 likes · 26 reposts · 17 replies · ~68,000 views · 2026-09-29 — https://x.com/alifarhat79/status/2105032817654792244 — "Elon Musk after snatching the Dot.com domain from OpenAI and redirecting it to Grok Bot." Distinct from the Musk-quote post (#3 above) — this is Musk-as-rival-to-OpenAI content, a separate angle within the same "Elon" trend.

Signals
  • Rising: football is the single biggest volume driver in this set — the Italy 4–1 result and the Spain–Croatia Nations League match (Lamine Yamal scoring inside a minute) together account for roughly a quarter of all 40 posts collected, spread across four different search terms (Italy, Spain, #Croatia, and incidentally Roman).
  • Rising: an AI/tech sub-cluster (Anthropic pricing complaints, Claude Skills workflows, "Opus 5.5" used for AI-generated video/motion design, Elon vs. OpenAI domain drama) shows up across three separate trend terms (Elon, Anthropic, and the Rivonn post under "Holy") — AI-model discourse is bleeding into what would otherwise be a Croatia sports/entertainment trending list.
  • Dismissed: @StarBase48 (#16) pushes back on the Big Brother #bb28 hype directly — "there's like a 95% chance she loses... the crash out that will come" — engagement in that cluster leans skeptical/bettor-ish rather than celebratory.
  • Surprising: several trend terms caught posts with nothing to do with the apparent topic. "Roman" surfaced an indie game developer's launch post (#20, @thelegoagapov / Roman Agapov) alongside actual Roman Reigns/WWE content. "Holy" surfaced K-pop nostalgia, an NSFW AI model, literal cake, and a religious post (#9–12) — four unrelated stories under one generic word. This means the "Trending" label on a single word is not a reliable signal of one coherent story.
  • Surprising: view counts (marked ~ by X) don't track cleanly with likes — @UTDbrims' post (#1, football) has ~1,000,000 views but only 427 likes, while @Rivonn's AI-model post (#12) has ~563,000 views and 4,894 likes. A post can rack up huge reach without proportional engagement, and vice versa.
Limits
  • This is not confirmed to be about videos. The collector records only a hasPhoto flag per post (35 of 40 posts have one attached image/media item); it does not distinguish a still photo from an actual video, and none of the post text unambiguously confirms video playback for most entries. The brief asks specifically for videos with view/like counts — I can report X's exact like/repost/reply counts and its rounded view counts for each post, but I cannot certify how many of these 40 posts are genuinely video content versus photos or text-only posts; treat the "10 posts" below as X's trending conversation broadly, not a verified list of 10 viral videos.
  • Geolocation: 4 of the 10 source trends are explicitly "Trending in Croatia"; the other 6 are labeled by category only with no place given. This list should not be read as global.
  • No "posts on X" counts: X did not return a volume number for any of the 10 Explore trends (all show as —), so trend size could not be compared to other days or other trends.
  • No live browsing performed: per the playbook, this file only reads what the worker already collected in output/x.posts.md / .json — no additional searches, no clicking into individual posts for video playback, and no verification beyond what's already in that file.
  • Window: the brief wants the last 24–48 hours. 38 of the 40 posts fall on 2026-09-28 or 2026-09-29, inside that window; the @PopBase VMAs post (#24, 2026-09-27) and @Acethetic_Holly's post (#10, 2026-09-28) sit right at or just outside the edge of it.
  • Search terms were X's trends, not a viral-video search: the worker searched the 10 words/hashtags Explore was already showing, not open-ended terms like "went viral" or "viral video" — coverage reflects whatever X's Explore algorithm surfaced for this session, which skews toward football, WWE, reality TV, and AI/tech topics rather than a dedicated hunt for viral clips.

Limits
  • 通常の検索結果ページ(youtube.com/results?search_query=...)

Bluesky

Bluesky —

そのため、プレイブック通りの「検索してカウントを拾う」進め方は封じられ、代わりに①getTrendingTopics(急上昇トピックAPI)、②getFeed(一般の急上昇フィード「What's Hot Classic」)、③Web検索経由で見つけた個別アカウント・ハッシュタグ専用フィードのAPI直読み、の3経路で動画関連の投稿を拾った。

Signals
Limits
  • 公式検索が使えなかった:public.api.bsky.app/xrpc/app.bsky.feed.searchPostsは日本語・英語どちらのクエリでも一貫して403 Forbidden。
プロレス系wrestlingnewsco.bsky.socialはプロフィールAPIが400エラーで解決できなかった。

Signals
Limits
  • 検索は lemmy.world の公開API(/api/v3/search, type_=Posts, sort=New)にキーワード「viral video」「viral」「viral clip」「went viral」で実行し、加えて [email protected]・[email protected]・[email protected] の各コミュニティページ(TopDay/New順)を直接確認した。
